Mark R. Before his current role, which he assumed in October 2017, Allen was based in Europe as the senior vice president and international general counsel for FedEx Express. He joined FedEx in 1982 from private legal practice in Memphis and held various transactional and regulatory positions in the Legal department. In 1992, he became general counsel for the Canadian Region in Toronto, then moved to Hong Kong in 1996 as general counsel for the Asia Pacific Region, and later to Brussels in 2000 as general counsel for the Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Indian Subcontinent Region.
Allen serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform, and Youth Villages, a nonprofit organization in Memphis. He graduated from the University of Mount Union in 1977 and the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 1980.
